Meet the Owners
We are Connie and Pierre-Edouard (Ed), the owners of The Cuthbert House Inn in beautiful historic Beaufort, South Carolina.
It all started when we met in college at the University of Toulon and Var, in the south of France. Ed is a city boy, originally from Paris, France and Connie grew up in the farmlands of the Midwest United States. Business and family have taken us to five continents. During our travels, we stayed at many bed and breakfasts, enjoying local hospitality and cuisine. We came to appreciate the authentic connections we were able to make with the people we stayed with. These encounters sparked in us the dream to one day operate our own bed and breakfast inn.
After staying at The Cuthbert House Inn, we fell in love with it! We love this beautiful, historic home and its lovely setting on the water and, equally important to us, the wonderful, caring staff, who focus on making every detail of the guest’s stay delightful. Add to that the history of Beaufort itself and the many, many activities for visitors to enjoy, and we felt we had found the ideal place to share hospitality with our guests.
We enjoy a variety of activities such as sailing, visiting museums and learning about history, and taking walks with our dog, Ike. We are the proud parents of three children; a grown daughter and son as well as a younger son who still lives with us, at home.
The best part about owning The Cuthbert House Inn is hosting the social hour for our guests. We love to meet and talk with them about their travels and share a bit about Beaufort and the Low Country with them.
We invite you to come and enjoy this beautiful house and our lovely town. We look forward to meeting you soon.
